About
For most of my life, I thought I was living a pretty good life. Looking back, I can see I was barely surviving.
I was responsible. I kept moving forward. I checked the boxes. From the outside, my life probably looked pretty good — the marriage, the kids, the house, the career, the accomplishments. But underneath it all, I was operating from stress, fear, hypervigilance, people-pleasing, and a constant need to hold everything together. My relationships were dysfunctional at best — and I didn’t even know it.
Like many people, I sought help. I read books. I attended trainings. I worked with professionals. But the professionals around me — good-intentioned people doing their best — kept pointing me back outside of myself. Try this. Do that. Follow this framework. Complete this training. I tried. I did the things. But each promise that didn’t deliver left me feeling even more empty than before.
I even went back to school — earned a Master’s degree in Counseling with a focus in Marriage and Family. Not because I wanted letters behind my name. Because I wanted to help people. To help end the suffering I saw in others — and had lived myself. And in that season, the very system I was studying to enter nearly broke me. My faith was the only thing that held.
Because nothing on the outside could fix what was happening on the inside. Every tool, every training, every technique that focused on behavior and performance without addressing what was underneath — it was building on a cracked foundation. They couldn’t see what they hadn’t experienced. And I couldn’t accept that this was all there was.
So I stopped looking out there. Because the answer was never out there. The problem wasn’t outside of me — it was within. Survival had become so normal I couldn’t fully see it — nor could the people around me. When you’ve lived in survival long enough, survival feels like life. You don’t realize you’re surviving because you’ve never experienced anything different.
That realization changed everything.
I’m Kelly Rose — coach, speaker, teacher, and writer. I built One Truth Within as a village: a place where the work of coming home to yourself is taken seriously and done completely. Through coaching, live teaching, retreats, and curriculum designed for people who have been carrying weight that was never theirs to carry.
My goal is not to tell you who you should be. My goal is to help you see what may be keeping you stuck so you can make intentional choices and create a life that feels more like your own. For me, that became a life with greater meaning, purpose, peace, and fulfillment.
Awareness creates choice. Choice creates change. And change creates the possibility of a better life.
If you see yourself in any part of this story, I invite you to get curious.
Your truth is within. It always has been. Trust it.
